The vision in blue, as seen in the photo above, is none other than Taylor Strom. One of my best friends, Taylor and I met last year when we were cast as "Silly Girls #1 and #2" in the NOR production of Beauty and the Beast. After the first awkward rehearsal, we discovered our mutual love for playing dress up and being the center of attention, and so when I posted that I needed models for my Instagram photos, Taylor was one of the first to respond.
As I mentioned before, Taylor is an actress, a profession that fits her bubbly personality. She describes herself as a happy, easily excited person, who "probably talks way too much" but always has a smile on her face. Well, as the great Audrey Hepburn says, (and as these pictures prove), " Happy girls are the prettiest girls".

Taylor's love for the theatre began when she was a little girl. Growing up in New Jersey, her parents would take her to see Broadway shows all the time, but she remembers seeing Mary Poppins the most vividly. "I was sitting in the balcony with my parents," she reminisces," and Mary Poppins flew over us, and I reached up to grab onto her, like "Take me with you!"
When she moved to California, a friend told her to audition at NOR Junior Theatre, where she got a role as a narrator in "Aladdin". After that she starred in "Into the Woods", "Beauty and the Beast", "School of Rock", "Macbeth", and "Radium Girls".
"I would absolutely love to be an actress on Broadway. Getting to be in front of amazing musical numbers would be a dream come true." Her dream roles include Angelica Schuyler from "Hamilton", or Maureen from "Rent".

Outside of theatre, Strom enjoys catching up on her favorite shows, like Riverdale, Grey's Anatomy, and Scandal. "Dramas are what I thrive for", she says. The vibrant actor also enjoys shopping, "You can never have too many clothes or accessories." She describes her style as "very basic and casual". On any normal day you can catch Taylor in plain shorts with cute v-necks or t-shirts. But when she dresses up her motto is "Very fancy and classy. Heels with a dress are a must for any event.

Strom credits the theatre for her fearlessness, "It [theatre] has given me confidence. Not many people who now me know that I can be shy sometimes and I feel like it's opened me up...You gain a huge family that you to spend tons of time with and learn from each other." Even with all the experience she has, Taylor knows she has a long way to go on her journey to Broadway. She is currently taking drama and choir, performs in her school drama program, and takes dance at the Penche Dance Academy. "You always feel like you're never good enough. To reassure myself, I think I can only get better. If I keep learning and rehearsing, I can only grow."
