Predictions for Stranger Things Season 3 Soundtrack

The first full length trailer for season three of Stranger Things dropped last week, leaving fans with many questions, like "What are Nancy and Jonathon doing in that creepy building?", "Hawkins has a mayor? Where was he for the last two seasons?", "El and Max are friends now?". My biggest question, however, is what songs will be used this season?
The early 80s nostalgia was a big factor in why fans fell in love with the show when it first premiered in 2016. The series was responsible for Winona Ryder's comeback and catapulted an entire flock of talented child actors into fame, as well as brought families together around the television again. Especially my family. For the season two premiere, we all waited until Halloween to watch together and over a home cooked dinner, guessed what songs we might be hearing. Following that tradition, here are my predictions for the next season's soundtrack.
1. Save a Prayer by Duran Duran
It's a classic that's not overplayed and has that spooky vibe that's perfect for the show.
2. Cruel Summer by Bananarama
Just because this season takes place in the summer.
3. Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen
I can already picture Mike and El dancing to this one.
4. She Bop by Cyndi Lauper
Imagine Billy terrorizing kids to this song. Poetic Cinema.
5. This Must Be The Place by Talking Heads
Hawkins is such a stressful place to live, this season I hope to see the kids unwind and just be kids to this song.
6. Lucky Star by Madonna
If I don't get a scene of Max and El listening to Madonna for the first time, I will be UPSET.
7. Stand by R.E.M.
I have a feeling Jonathon will be the first person in Hawkins to listen to R.E.M.
8. You Make My Dream by Hall and Oats
There was a criminal lack of Hall and Oats in the last two seasons.
9. Don't Get Me Wrong by The Pretenders
I'm sure the writers can work this jam into some kind of dance sequence.
10. Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics
One of those songs that defined the 80s, this one would be the most recognizable on the soundtrack.
Thanks for reading and enjoy!
